Make this easy, one-pot creamy beef pasta for a satisfying weeknight dinner. This recipe uses ground beef and a rich garlic butter sauce, offering comfort food ready fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound pasta (like penne or rotini)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the uncooked pasta, beef broth, butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the pot with the beef.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom.
  4. Once the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, remove the pot from the heat.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Let the pasta sit for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a high protein pasta meal, use lean ground beef.
  • You can substitute vegetable broth for beef broth if needed.
  • Stir in a handful of fresh spinach during the last two minutes of cooking for added color and nutrients.
