Make this easy no-bake Buckeye Fudge for a simple, rich dessert that combines creamy peanut butter and decadent chocolate. This recipe delivers all the flavor of traditional buckeyes with less effort, perfect for parties or holiday treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk (half of a 14-ounce can)
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and creamy peanut butter together until smooth.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until fully combined and a thick dough forms.
  5. Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Set aside.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat. Stir until the butter melts and the mixture is smooth.
  7. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the chocolate chips and stir constantly until the chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy. This creates your chocolate topping.
  8. Pour the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the peanut butter layer in the pan. Spread gently to cover the entire surface.
  9. Refrigerate the fudge for at least 4 hours, or until firm enough to cut.
  10. Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge from the pan. Cut into small squares before serving.

Notes

  • For the best texture, ensure your butter is truly softened, not melted.
  • You can chill the fudge for 30 minutes to set the chocolate layer faster before fully chilling.
  • Store leftover Buckeye Fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
