This vibrant winter fruit salad uses seasonal citrus, apples, and pomegranate for a refreshing, colorful dish. Tossed in a simple honey-lime dressing, it is quick to prepare and perfect for holiday gatherings or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large clementines or mandarins, peeled and segmented
  • 2 crisp apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and chopped
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 1 firm pear, cored and chopped
  • For the Honey-Lime Dressing:
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Peel and segment the clementines. Chop the apples and pear. Slice the kiwis. Halve the grapes. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, and lime zest until fully combined.
  3. Dress the salad: Pour the honey-lime dressing over the fruit mixture. Gently toss the fruit until everything is lightly coated.
  4. Serve immediately: For the best texture, serve the winter fruit salad right away. If you must prepare ahead, store the fruit and dressing separately and combine just before serving.

Notes

  • For a festive look, use a mix of red and green apples.
  • If you prefer a different flavor, substitute the honey-lime dressing with a citrus poppy seed dressing.
  • This salad works well as a healthy dessert replacement or a side dish for brunch.
